I’m happy to announce my new upcoming novel: Jennifer’s Journal. It will be published in October of 2024, with a more exact release date coming soon.
Is it Jennifer’s Journal a sequel to The Heartian Hangman?
Although the book is set in the same universe as The Heartian Hangman, it’s more of a spin-off rather than a new story.
Does that mean I need to read the other books first?
To read this book, you don’t necessarily need to have read my other books, as it is considered a stand-alone in the same universe.
However, there are nods to both The Heartian Hangman and The Odd Orc Out that you may miss. They’re not integral to the plot, but I suggest checking out this page to see the blurbs of the other books.
What age group is Jennifer’s Journal aimed at?
As with my other books, Jennifer’s Journal is marketed as a YA book. Younger kids with high reading skills can read this book, but keep in mind there are some dark themes. Adults can also read (and enjoy!) this book.
Jennifer’s Journal blurb
Jennifer lives in the pirate city of Bunavaria, and is the sole owner of the Bearded Dragon tavern. Her normal days are filled with stopping bar fights and serving more alcohol to those who clearly don’t need it.
But what happens when she falls in love with a captain?
Follow her words, and find out where this sea-voyage takes her.
